I call this fanlisting "Out of this World" because the first time I saw Erin act in Love's Long Journey, she absolutely blew me away. To me, she is out of this world and I can't wait to see more of her work.
Erin Cottrell is a native of New Jersey that was raised in Pennsylvania. She began performing when she was six years old in theater production done by her mother. As she grew up,
she performed in school theater production and in community theater. Later, she received a drama scholarship to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. While she was there,
she spent summers performing with highly respected performance groups. Those included the Georgia Shakespeare Festival and the Lakes Region Summer Theater in New Hampshire.
After she graduated college, Erin landed an internship in London. During her stay there, she got to work with underprivileged children and it was apparent to her the arts were having a great impact
on the less fortunate.
After she returned to the U.S., she toured with different theater groups and she later settled down in New York. While doing some modeling (as she did as a teenager), she landed some roles
in commercials and guest tv spots. Those included a couple of roles on two daytime tv soap operas: Guiding Light and All My Children. Not long after that, she moved to Los Angeles and she soon landed a small part of the movie, Legally
Blonde II: Red, White, and Blonde. Other roles included Caroline Ingalls: Little House on the Prairie tv mini series, Carol McCain: Faith of My Fathers, Missie Davis LaHaye: Love's Long Journey and Love's Abiding Joy, etc...
